Seaside in the Mediterranean

Dominating the mediterranean, the Italian peninsula is surrounded by a mix of clear, pristine and idyllic seas. Coastal life is woven into the fabric of Italian culture and is a calling card of the southern region of the peninsula, particularly the luxury retreats of the Costiera Amalfitana. Located towards the southern slopes of Vesuvius, this impressive region boats a range of beaches, sheer cliffs that dive into the sea - alongside an assortment of colourful and affluent villas arranged throughout the coastline.

The impressiveness of the views is only matched by the grandeur of the lifestyle, a mix of old world generosity and modern luxury. An area defined by its remoteness, exclusiveness and yet tenderness of heart. This is a place where the elite play alongside families of generational natives living their everyday life. A place where backpackers trek along the switchback coastal road, passed by the occasional Ferrari and Lamborghini. A place of contrast, immeasurable beauty and the setting for our brand’s Blu Label inspiration.

A place where dreams are made of...

But what is it exactly that draws so many people to this particular region? We have a few ideas, but could summarise our own view in a quick and simple phrase - “this is a place where dreams are made of”. Whatever the reason for visiting, undoubtedly the most common emotions evoked in the minds of those lucky enough to find themselves in this idyllic world, is a sense of wonder and awe at the beauty and magnitude of the coastline. From Positano to Ravello, the sheer scale of the region’s beauty is truly difficult to surmise and describe in an article, let alone a few sentences. However, for us, the contrast found in this remarkable place, the stories of the local families and the feeling of such immeasurable beauty is what keeps us coming back again and again.
